24 Must-Have Books for Babies (7-12 Months)
After talking briefly with a new momma/blogging friend, we brainstormed creating a list like this for new parents who may not have any idea where to start when creating a library for their little one. If you’re looking for Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar, you won’t find them on this list – I wanted to provide everyone with the books you might not get as a gift, but should definitely be in your baby’s own personal library.
This list includes concept books – alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes as it’s never too early to start working on these things, plus it includes a lot of rhyming books for babies to hear how words sound and some books that are just plain fun to read! Don’t forget books with textures, flaps, and interactive parts that are sure to make your baby giggle with delight.
You can also check out my blog posts about choosing books for a baby shower here and here for other great ideas on books for babies, plus my starter list for babies from 0-6 months. Here’s a list of 24 titles you need to check out – buy them or borrow them from the library because they are really wonderful books to share with your bundle of joy.
