#blogbookaday: Max Speed

28954119.jpgSummary:  “Max, a tiny speed racer, is off on the adventure of a lifetime in this adorable new picture book that proves all you need for a big adventure is a little imagination.
As soon as Max has finished cleaning his room, he’s off racing his super-secret car at incredible speeds, soaring over rivers of lava, sky diving, and swimming with sharks. This picture book is perfect for every young speed racer, careening from one adventure to the next.

Review: Max’s imagination is in full speed as he goes on an adventure filled with lavas, parachutes, sharks and hidden underwater caves. Max comes up against some big obstacles and he continues to use his imagination to overcome each and every one to make his way back home just in time to meet his match!

Personal Reaction: I loved the simple text, the onomatopoeia words and Max’s imagination, plus with bold graphic illustrations – this is the perfect story for an adventure-filled storytime for toddlers and preschoolers alike!

#blogbookaday (1)This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
