Toddler Storytime Theme: Winter Animals

We had a really heavy downpour this morning, after a two-hour school delay so needless to say I only had six little ones in my storytime.  The show must go on and the kids that were there got a little more individualized attention which they all really liked.  They really liked Red Sled and had a blast using the rhythm sticks to the Caspar Babypants song “I Want to Be a Snowman.”  And if you’re wondering… we picture walked our way through Over and  Under the Snow (way too long for storytime) but has a lot of great information!

Opening: “Put Your Hands Up In the Air”

Puppet Meet & Greet: Meet Woolly (monkey puppet)

Early Literacy Tip: Wordless and nearly wordless picture books allow children to help tell the story even more!
