Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Characters Who Are Fellow Book Nerds

So I survived my first Top Ten Tuesday and decided to try again this week! This one was much harder for me to think about all the characters I can remember and choose some that I would consider to be my fellow book nerds. I found a mix of old favorites and new and hope something on this list inspires you! What characters have you read about that are fellow book nerds?
book10I read the entire Anne of Green Gables series at least a few times and fell in love with Anne’s character – her love of books, her friendship with Diana and her romance with Gilbert were very real to me as a tween.
book4Liesl loves books so much that as the Nazis begin burning books in the center of town, she sneaks by and starts stealing saving them and in doing so gives her family hope for a future.
book5This is a little bit of a stretch, but I’m choosing Beauty and the Beast (Disney version) for Belle’s obvious love of literature and honestly… what more could a girl want than a library?!?!?
bookHermione Granger – a girl after my own heart! I carry a book with me everywhere I go and so does she!
book1Don’t waste your time on the movie, but Inkheart by Cornelia Funke is an amazing story of the power of reading when Meggie finds out her father can bring fictional characters out of the books they live.
book6This is a story that has stuck with me since I was little. I believe I heard it on Reading Rainbow and again, it’s not strictly about books, but it is about storytelling and I love it.
book3Matilda taught herself to read at an early age and soon read all the books in the children’s department of the public library. And although her parents are awful and she must deal with The Trunchbull at school, the end is definitely “happily ever after.”
book9Shadow Spinner is a take on Arabian Nights and another book about storytelling. The story is a spin on A Thousand and One Nights as Marjan tries to save the queen by telling a story each night.
book7How can you go wrong with these two lovable characters when they find out they’re in a book?
book8Although not so much book-focused, Minli in Where the Mountain Meets the Moon enjoys the storytelling of her father which helps her on her adventure to find the Old Man of the Moon.
