I don’t have a huge group of kids for my preschool storytime, but they thought Chengdu was so silly and loved when he fell asleep on his brother.  Some were familiar with The Little Mouse and really giggled when the mouse tried to disguise the strawberry with glasses and a mustache and many were excited to “read” Orange Pear Apple Bear with me as I pointed to the four pictures on the flannel board.

Opening: “Hello Hello” by Mose Se Sengo “Fan Fan,” Putumayo Kids Presents: African Playground (with shaker eggs)

Puppet Meet & Greet: Meet Woolly (monkey puppet)

ASL Sign: Tree (rest your right elbow on your left hand and raise your arm up high, twist hand back and forth)

Early Literacy Tip: Nature is a great teacher!  Get outside and learn all about science on a nature walk around your neighborhood or plant a small garden with your child and watch it grow!
