Yoga Storytime Plans

I love my yoga storytime program,  the kids really respond to this type of storytime because it can be so interactive.  The kids enjoy doing the yoga poses and keeps them moving throughout our storytime.  Click on “How to Get Started” for some basic information as well as useful resources and below you’ll find a list of my storytime plans complete with books, music, and yoga poses.

Hi Laura, I love your blog! I tried to click on “How To Get Started” and it asks for a login and password. I was trying to find out information on some of the poses, such as Zip Up Spine and Reach Up.

Thanks for letting me know! I thought I had fixed everything, but now it’s fixed! The “zip up the spine” move is done with the kids sitting criss-cross applesauce. I ask them to find their belly buttons and then we zip up our bellies to our chins like we would if we had a jacket on. This gets the kids to sit up straighter. And “reach up” is just that – reach up to the sky as high as you can!

Thanks for the quick response and fix!
