Storytime Theme: Orange
I’m updating some of my color-themed storytime lesson plans and today we’re talking all about the color orange! If you missed the red storytime, take a look! This is a bright, cheery storytime theme filled with great books about tigers, carrots, butterflies, pumpkins and more. Whether you always offer crafts or are looking for activities like color sorting or some process art, it’s fun to extend storytime beyond the books and rhymes in a very easy way.
And speaking of easy, color-themed storytimes are some of the easiest to pull together and work as a sort of middleman between a themed storytime and a themeless storytime. It’s still a theme, but it’s very loose in terms of what works for the program! And, you can do a color storytime at anytime of year which makes it extremely versatile and adaptable to whatever you need.
