Storytime Theme: Pride Month
I love centering a Pride Month storytime around families the way a lot of these books do! Because as one of the books is called Love Makes a Family and families come in all sorts of different ways. This storytime lesson plan is a great way to support families in your storytime program by showing families with adopted kids, two moms, two dads, grandparents as primary caregivers, and more. I’m sharing a number of books that truly celebrate Pride, while others are not as explicit, but can still be used to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, especially those in your own community.
