Storytime Theme: Letter Y
It’s letter Y’s day to shine! And honestly, a heck of a lot easier than letter x last week! With great words like yoga, yak, and you – there’s an infinite number of ways to take this lesson plan. And it wasn’t even too difficult to find songs, rhymes, and crafts. Pull out all that extra yarn and you can easily come up with a kid-friendly and letter-friendly craft!
And if you’re feeling adventurous, try a yoga storytime with yoga poses as your breaks between reading stories. There are some very simple poses that even toddlers can do! Check out my post on starting a yoga storytime program as a place to begin. And while I practice yoga intermittently, I’m by no means a professional, but the kids and caregivers really enjoy it and I think get something different out of it than a typical storytime lesson plan!
