It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 6/7/2021

What I Read

Flying definitely has its advantages when it comes to getting some reading done! As I mentioned last week, I’ve got a handful of titles that I need to read for our middle grade book discussion this summer. Our county is hosting a virtual author visit with Jarrett Krosoczka at the end of the month, so I’ve got to read a few of the Jedi Academy books. (I’ve already read Hey, Kiddo for the teens). My children’s librarian also chose Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo, Never Caught, the Story of Ona Judge: George and Martha Washington’s Courageous Slave Who Dared to Run Away; Young Readers Edition by Ericka Armstrong Dunbar, Pay Attention, Carter Jones by Gary D. Schmidt, and Show Me a Sign by Ann Clare LeZotte.

What’s great is I can borrow all of these titles on OverDrive and read them on my Kindle while I’m traveling over the next week. Granted, I won’t be able to read them all this week, but I’ve got some great options and I had plenty of time at the airport!

What I’m Planning to Read

I’m working on these posts about a week to two weeks early right now, so I’ll give you all a full recap when I get back from my sister’s wedding!

What are your summer reading plans this year? Are you hoping for some great, relaxing beach reads? Or are you taking the time to dive into a title you just haven’t had time for this year?
