It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 5/3/2021
What I Read
This week I read We Must Not Forget: Holocaust Stories of Survival and Resistance by Deborah Hopkinson. This is multiple accounts of experiences during the Holocaust with a lot of primary sources. I think having these tiny glimpses into people’s lives helps people to understand how horrific the Holocaust truly was. When you see the numbers, it’s hard to grasp how something like this happened. But reading about an individual’s experience really shows just how terrifying a time it was.
And then I started All You Knead Is Love by Tanya Guerrero. I’ve been looking forward to this book for a few months now and I’m already loving it so much! I can’t wait to finish it! The descriptions of the food already has me drooling!
What I’m Planning to Read
This week I’m going to read Wild Survival: Crocodile Rescue! by Melissa Cristina Márquez from Scholastic. Somehow this was was still on my review shelf, but not on my list to read! And then I’ll probably grab a few titles from work to round out the week!
