Storytime Theme: Peas & Carrots
I stumbled across this adorable storytime theme as I was trying to think of new ideas to try on my blog and I thought it was too cute to pass up! What’s great about stoytime is that ten different people can host a storytime on the same theme and each one would be completely different!
While peas may not be my favorite vegetable, they are so stinking cute in picture books! I tried to find a mix of books and included some that highlighted both carrots and peas and then found some songs surprisingly quickly. Plus, I found some really cool craft projects for the kids too if that’s something you offer at storytime. Remember, make your storytime something that’s comfortable for you. If you aren’t really feeling your theme, the kids are totally going to pick up on that vibe. So be excited, don’t be afraid to try something new, and have fun!
