Parenting Book List: Doctors, Dentists, and More!
I started working on this list focusing solely on doctor visits, but the longer I researched the more I realized that this list needed to be more than visiting the doctor and it really became a list of books about kids interacting with other adults. Think more along the lines of an appointment – doctors, dentists, haircuts, eye doctors and yes, hospital visits. I think for a little one, it can be scary having to interact with an unfamiliar adult in and unfamiliar place, especially when these adults are often touching you and very close. By setting up a child’s expectations for what’s to come, it may help ease their nerves a little bit because they have learned a reference point to the experience.
If you’re looking for more topics in my parenting series, check out Sleeping, Potty Training, Babysitting, First Day of School and there will be more coming in the coming weeks. If there’s a topic you’d like to see a book list about, please leave a comment and I’ll do my best to create one!
