Storytime Theme: Blue
It’s time for one of my favorite colors – blue! And while my official favorite color is teal, I love shades of blue of all types from the lightest blues to the deepest, dark colors. And if you’re just joining me, check out red, orange, yellow, and green that were posted earlier and come back again for trip through all the rainbow colors (plus a few more that we can’t miss out on!).
I’m having a lot of fun creating these lesson plans on colors because they can be so different – you can look for specifically blue things from nature – blueberries, blue birds, the blue sky or go completely in another direction and read books about blue characters or even backgrounds! The sky’s the limit (pun intended) for how wide ranging these color-themed storytimes can be. And I love that because you could do color themes annually and switch out the books every year!
