Storytime Theme: Clothing
This is a perfect storytime to encourage kids to pick out their own favorite outfits! It’s a fun storytime that allows for a lot of customization whether that’s seasonal or a specific type of clothing. I have an entire sock-themed storytime lesson plan on my blog as well to check out. Rather than focusing on kids too much, I chose to highlight different animals in silly, funny, and adorable stories about them wearing clothes.
For a different route, you could also highlight diversity by choosing books about specific types of clothing such as head coverings or special outfits wore for holiday celebrations. With such a wide-variety of directions, this is a great storytime that can be expanded into a number of different programs for at least a few weeks!
