Storytime Theme: Travel
Whether you’re heading on vacation or traveling through your imagination, this storytime lesson plan is filled with wonderful read alouds from classics like Miss Rhumphius to interactive titles like Are We There Yet? And while I don’t get to travel as much as I’d like, this was such a fun storytime to put together with some fun songs about traveling by bus rocket ship too. And you can’t forget crafts like suitcases, airplanes, and cars. This storytime is best for an older audience of PreK kids and even early elementary school age students too. Not to say that you can’t make it work for a younger audience, but many of these books are a little longer. For even more great suggestions, check out the storytime theme – travel adventures too!
