Storytime Theme: Pancakes
So, I’ll be honest and say that pancakes aren’t my favorite breakfast food. But, my niece and nephew absolutely LOVE them and often get special chocolate chip pancakes when they stay overnight at my parents’ house. I’m much more of a lemon poppyseed pancake type of girl and if you’ve never had them, check out this recipe, it’s to die for!
This is just a fun storytime theme, made even more fun if you offered a snack and had pancakes for the kids afterward! I think this would work really well as a Saturday morning storytime when bigger, more elaborate breakfasts are made. Or, turn it on its head and offer it as an evening storytime. Because, honestly, I love breakfast food for dinner, who doesn’t?
