Storytime Theme: Apples
Celebrate apples with this tasty storytime that can lean into STEM activities, crafts, baking, and more! Personally, I love apple pie, specifically my grandma’s! I think I finally figured out her recipe, but it’s not a perfect science because she’s very much a sprinkle this and add that type of baker. Every time I ask her, she always tells me it’s just by feel, but what I do love is how full of apples her apple pie is! It’s so big it’s often hard to even get the top crust on.
Today’s storytime celebrates this rather standard fruit with nonfiction and fiction titles, some fun songs and rhymes, as well as crafts and activities to round out this perfect fall lesson plan for kids from toddlers to elementary school age kids. As always, get inspired, copy everything, or find out what doesn’t work for you with these ideas!
