Storytime Theme: Outdoors
I love being outdoors in the fresh air! And my niece and nephew are exactly the same way and they’ve both been like that since they were little. They love to play outside, go on walks, and visit playgrounds. And most of the time, they don’t really care about the weather or temperature, often choosing to be outside rather than in.
I especially love to be outdoors at my parents’ home. They live on a large property with a lake and fire pit, a porch swing and a dock to sit on and enjoy the sunset. Giving kids time to play, explore the outdoors, and learn about the wild encourages imagination and curiosity, not to mention patience and perseverance. This storytime is a celebration of the outdoors with kids discovering the wild in whatever environment they find themselves.
