Storytime Theme: Sports
Between my neice and nephew and my friends’ kids the spring is busy with so many different sporting events from soccer to baseball, swimming to gymnastics the kids are busier than the adults a lot of the time. They often start trying out sports while in PreK and I thought it would be a great time to share some sports-themed books for a storytime lesson plan.
And kids don’t necessarily have to be playing any sports to enjoy these great read alouds and activities. Or maybe they’ll be excited to try something new after reading about it at storytime. There are dozens more picture books about sports, I tried to provide a wide range of titles that will fit all sorts of interests, but don’t hesitate to find a book that better suits your audience if necessary!
