Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d Like to Go on Vacation With

This Top Ten Tuesday theme took a little of time to figure out what direction I wanted to go in. Sometimes these themes are difficult to pull books for because as a reader of children’s literature, it makes it a little different when the characters are kids and not adults. I decided to focus on books where the characters were either already on a vacation or traveling or characters that I think would be fun to vacation with.

So on this list you’ll see a lot of books set around the world and even a few that defy the realistic world wide live in. While others like Anne are characters who I think would really enjoy the experience of vacation and I would love to travel with someone who had that kind of attitude. What setting would you like as a vacation or what character would you like to vacation with?

The Adventures of a Girl Called Bicycle by Christina Uss

City Spies by James Ponti

An Occasionally Happy Family by Cliff Burke
