Storytime Theme: Swimming
I love water – I love being in it, around it, and near it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a shower, swimming in a river or lake, the ocean, a pool, whatever – I absolutely love it! This storytime is a perfect one for the upcoming summer season when kids are running through the sprinkler and playing in the pool! As an aside, it is vitally important that children learn how to swim because being in the water can be dangerous. And it’s also important that there is an adult present and attentive any time a child is playing in the pool. Accidents can happen and they can happen quickly. Alright, I’ll step off my soapbox now to share with you some great read alouds whether your little ones love to swim or are a little more apprehensive, plus some great songs, rhymes, and activities to go along with this lesson plan as well!
