Just recently, I went back to my parents’ home for a visit. While I was there, I told my niece and nephew that I had a surprise for them. My six-year-old niece goes, “Is it books?” (she knows me so well!). And I said, “Yeah, is that ok?” and both she and my nephew enthusiastically said “Yes!”

They have always been HUGE readers because they’ve always had access to tons and tons of books both at their house and at my parents’ house. Even when they come for a visit, we make sure to stop at my library to pick up a pile of books for the weekend! And if you’re wondering, yes of course they’re both getting books from me this Christmas!
