Storytime Theme: Boxes
A boring, old, brown cardboard box holds endless possibilities! This storytime theme is one near and dear to my heart because I love when play allows kids to explore, learn, grow, and use their imagination and a cardboard box does all of those things. This would be a perfect storytime for when it’s too hot or too cold to be outside and you need to find ways to make play fun and exciting indoors. I’d pair some of these great books with some empty boxes for kids to use however they want. Make it a family program, and caregivers can help their kids creat the box of their dreams!
