Storytime Theme: Birds
Just when I think I can’t possibly find another storytime theme, I come across something I’ve never thought of doing before! Today’s theme is all about birds and while you could easily break this down into a bunch of different themes focusing on specific birds like owls, penguins, or flamingoes, I think an overarching theme like this is great. Take the time to talk to the kids in your storytime – ask them what they know about birds, what characteristics they share, and how they can be different. You can turn this easily into a STEM-focused program without too much effort!
