Storytime Theme: Days of the Week
I honestly can’t believe that in all the years that I had storytime, I never did a Days of the Week theme. Granted, I worked mostly with young toddlers and not preschoolers, but here we are. Today, I focused on picture books that specifically talk about at least most of the week. Rather than books like Saturday by Oge Mora that focus on one particular day.
I’ll be honest, it was a little more difficult to find crafts and activities for this theme than usual. But, you could always go the PreK route and have a calendar on the wall and talk about yesterday, today, and tomorrow. However you choose to use this storytime theme, I hope these books, songs, and activities are of help to you!
