Storytime Theme: Weather
I love a storytime theme that can be used during any time of year, anywhere around the world. Weather is always happening every where around us. You’ll find dozens of books about rain and lots of books about snow, but finding books about sunshine and/or wind are not as easy to come by. As usual, I’ve included some STEM titles along with our fiction titles. And there’s a lot more nonfiction books about weather that you could dive into as well.
Customize this theme by focusing a specific weather phenomenon or by creating some science experiments to go with your read aloud titles. Measure the amount of rain you get, fly a kite in the park on a rainy day, or build a snowman! There are so many ways you can take this theme and make it your own, enjoy!
