Storytime Theme: Woodland Creatures
Storytime Theme: Woodland Creatures was such a cute storytime to pull together! And what I love is that it can go in so many different directions! You could focus on one type of animal or one specific type of habitat, or something else entirely. As always, I’ve included some nonfiction work intermixed with the stories to expand storytime. I especially enjoy finding books with photographs so that kids can see what the animals look like in real life. If you can, encourage your families to explore nature together by sharing information about a local park or trail that is kid friendly!
You can also focus on activities that are more STEM-based or art based depending on what works for your family, classroom, or storytime. Remember, just because this is marketed as a storytime theme, doesn’t mean it can’t be adapted for all sorts of uses!
