Storytime Theme: Bees
This week’s storytime is about a vital part of our ecosystem – bees! These little creatures are small but mighty and deserve our respect. Share these great picture books with kids to help them understand the importance of bees and not to be too afraid of them. Did you know that honeybees have 170 odorant receptors? That’s a lot for such a tiny little insect! They use these receptors to find flowers and communication. In comparison, humans have around 400 receptors.
