Storytime Theme: Hiking
I love going on hikes! My favorite part is probably that you never know what you’ll encounter on a hike – a stream, some wild animals, flowers, plants, and my favorite – waterfalls! My parents took us hiking fairly often when we were little. Sometimes it was just little paths near our home while other times we went camping in the state forest and found dozens of hiking trails.
As an adult, I live super close to Valley Forge Historical Park, so we take our pup hiking a lot. She’s got a ton of energy, so hiking is a great way for her to stretch her legs and smell absolutely everything! She especially loves chipmunks, bunnies, and squirrels. Thankfully, we keep her leashed, so she has to stick to the trail, just like us.
