Storytime Theme: Animal Sounds

Probably one of the most popular type of books to read in storytime – Animal Sounds are sure to get kids engaged! They love yelling out animal sounds and even the quietest of kids know their animal sounds. Today I tried to share a wide variety of animals, beyond the typical farm animals. But, I did notice that a lot of these are older titles, so if you have any new titles that are great for an animal sounds storytime, I’d love to know!

Another great way to listen to real-live animals is to visit them! Either in their own natural habitat (think hikes and trails) or by visiting a local zoo or farm!

Practice matching animals and their sounds with a fun game!
