Storytime Theme: Digging

I love a storytime theme that can really go in so many directions! Whether you’re focusing on gardening, construction, or dinosaurs these books are sure to inspire little ones to get down and dirty and start digging! Part of my family’s spring plans every year was to pick out the vegetables we’d plant in our garden. My parents took care of all the typical things – tomatoes, peppers, etc. Each of us got to choose what we wanted to plant. And that involvement helped my parents to encourage eating fresh veggies we picked ourselves! Many kids want to play in the dirt, so here’s the perfect theme of books, activities, and songs to encourage it.
