Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books I Read in 2021
It’s been a very strange reading year for me. I’ve read only a fraction of the books I would typically read during the year. But, as I look back at another stressful year of managing a public library during a global pandemic, I’m accepting of what I was able to accomplish. Despite the sheer craziness of the past year. These are only ten titles I read this year – but are some that stuck with me long after I read them from all different age groups and genres.

Last Night at the Telegraph Club was fantastic.

Wasn’t it? I’m so glad I picked it up this year!

I’m sad that Eyes That Kiss in the Corner didn’t win the Goodreads award, but it was lumped in with a bunch of really good middle grade books. There should be a separate category for picture books.

I agree 100%! They should definitely break up the kid lit category into a couple of different sections!

FLIGHT OF THE PUFFIN was just an okay read for me. It just felt…forced in places. Still, it definitely teaches some good lessons. I have CECE RIOS out from the library right now. Looking forward to reading it!
Happy TTT!

I read CECE RIOS more recently and really enjoyed the story – it felt very much like an adapted folktale, which is always a writing style I enjoy!

Ona Judge definitely made my top 10 for the year too!
