Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Winter 2022 To-Read List
I was inspired to create this list after seeing Laurie’s post about nonfiction books for kids on Bit About Books! I don’t often pick up nonfiction, but the books that are coming out are so interesting, exciting, and fun to read! Because they’re filled with great untold stories of inspiration and discovery, there’s literally a nonfiction book out there for everyone.
In addition, I found some great suggestions on Cybils Awards nomination page. Also, you’ve got to check out the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books! There are some great suggestions there as well! So this winter, why not try something a little different? Pick up a nonfiction book, it just might surprise you (and you’ll probably learn a little something too)!

Great list! My boys pretty much only read non-fiction when they were little. I love that there are so many great NF books out there for kids. Such a great way to learn about history, the world, interesting people, etc.
Happy TTT!

I remember nonfiction when I was a kid and it was all so boring with a lot of text and those pencil drawings! Now, there’s so much great stuff out there!

It’s just one of those genres that I don’t think about too much, but I know I’m missing some great titles!

This is a great list! I wish the internet had been a thing when my girls were little. I mean, it was, but not like it is today. I could have used lists like this!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

That’s what I love about social media – being able to connect about books, but I know what you mean there are also some serious pitfalls!

Great list Laura I have added a few titles and wanted to thank you for the shout out! I too have not appreciated the engaging nonfiction books available and working hard to change that!

I’ve definitely been getting more into non-fiction in recent years, largely memoirs. I hope you enjoy all these 🙂

I’ll be honest, I’m more inclined to pick up the young reader’s editions of popular adult nonfiction – I find they still have a lot of great information, just pared down a little more!
