It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 12/13/2021
What I Read
This week I read exactly what I planned to read – Saint Ivy: Kind at All Costs by Laurie Morrison. This middle grade book is set in Philadelphia, which I love because I live in a suburb not too far away. I also finally tried out that horror graphic novel – Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill. Let’s just say this, I’m glad I gave it a try, it’s not something that I’ll read more of. It was just too much for me! I mean, I don’t like most scary books anyway, so adding to it the graphic novel format, didn’t help! Thankfully, I didn’t have any nightmares, but I don’t think I’ll read the next volume.
What I’m Planning to Read
Honestly? I bet you’re not surprised that I don’t have a plan for what I’m reading this week yet. We’ve got a lot of great new books coming into the library, so I think I’ll end up browsing some of those to see what catches my eye. I know there are a bunch of 2021 titles that I just didn’t get to this year, I’m going to try my best to catch up, but I’m not going to make myself crazy over it. There’s always next year?
