It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 11/29/2021
What I Read
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! Because my family travels for the holiday weekend, Thanksgiving begins on Wednesday and doesn’t end until Sunday for me. It was a little different this year, just due to everyone’s schedule, but it worked out. I got to spend a lot of time with my parents which was really nice and got to see my brother and sister-in-law that I don’t see too often, especially when it’s just us and not the ENTIRE family.
I’m stuffed to the gills (still!) from all the food we ate all weekend long, unfortunately, I didn’t get as much reading done as I wanted to. I finished The Shape of Thunder by Jasmine Warga and holy cow was this book intense. It was masterfully written, but a hard read at the same time.
What I’m Planning to Read
I know have One Kid’s Trash by Jamie Sumner and Saint Ivy: Kind at All Costs by Laurie Morrison from the library. So those two are next on the list. And that unexpected graphic novel (Volume 1 of Locke & Key: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill) is on my bedside table. I’m still trying to gather my courage to read a horror graphic novel! But, the show is so interesting, I want to see how it stacks up (book pun intended).
