Top Ten Tuesday: Books to Read if You Love the Baby-Sitters Club
My formative years were spent in the 90s which means the original Baby-Sitters Club books by Ann M. Martin were an essential part of my TBR list for many years. I read dozens of these books, checking them out of the library by the stack. And if anyone couldn’t already guess, I’m definitely a Mary Anne – studious, rule follower, although I didn’t have a steady boyfriend like Logan.
Last year, Netflix released a new series and reinvented the Baby-Sitters Club – with updated technology, even more diversity, and touching on modern issues facing kids in today’s world. I wrote an entire post on the series because I think they did an amazing job.
Plus, with the reinvention of the Baby-Sitters Club in graphic novel form, these books are sticking around for a while. So if you love the BSC, here are ten more titles to check out! Whether it’s the babysitting jobs that excite you or the group of friends there’s a little something for everyone. bAlso, as a side note, who knew there were multiple books about babysitting and dealing with monsters?

I didn’t know the BSC series had been reinvented as a graphic novel series. So cool!

Amazing how popular The Babysitters Club still is! The kids at school still take them out at the library. I will safe this post and show the kids tomorrow at school and see which of these we can get!
Clever post!

I bought the first three original BSC books, and the fans of the graphic novels do read them. It’s shocking how few of my students actually babysit. I was steadily employed from the time I was in 6th grade, making all of $1 an hour!

I missed the Baby Sitters Club when I was young, I was born towards the tail end of the books being published and for some reason never came across them as a kid!

Oh, this is so perfect. I grew up on the BSC too, and I adore the Mother-Daughter Book Club series.
