It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 7/12/2021
What I Read
Take Me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson was a fun adventure in NYC as the two main characters have a night they’ll never forget! Where the Rhythm Takes You by Sarah Dass is an immersive summer break story on the island of Tobago. It’s got a little mystery, lots of romance, misunderstanding, friendship, family, and love. Plus, the author created an awesome playlist at the back of the book! I think it’s my new favorite way to enjoy reading – an amazing background of music to immerse yourself even more in the story. I’m also in the middle of One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston about two girls who meet on the subway. But one of the girls is not from this time period… And I’m right in the thick of the story right now and can’t wait to see what happens. I love the supporting characters in this story so much!
What I’m Planning to Read
I’ve got two more YA books on my TBR right now – the first is Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I just watched the first episode of the series on Netflix and I’m intrigued. Plus, Six of Crows set in the same world, got me out of my reading slump last summer, so I’m excited! I’ve also got a book called Fable by Adrienne Young to read. I love fairy-tale-esque stories and this one looks really good!
