Top Ten Tuesday: Animals from Books
This is an absolutely perfect theme for our Summer Reading Program this year – Tails & Tales! I’ve pulled together a bunch of amazing titles that range from realistic fiction to fantasy. I don’t read a ton of fantasy titles, especially ones with anthropomorphic animals, but you’ll see one or two on the list! What I love about this list is that it includes a wide range of animals from crickets to dragons, dogs to elephants. Enjoy!
Animals from Books
- Alone by Megan E. Freeman – dog
- Anya and the Dragon by Sofiya Pasternack – dragon
- Chirp by Kate Messner – crickets
- The Girl Who Stole an Elephant by Nizrana Farook – elephant
- Hour of the Bees by Lindsay Eagar – bees
- Lizzie Flying Solo by Nanci Turner Steveson -horses
- Music for Tigers by Michelle Kadarusman – Tasmanian tigers
