It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 4/19/2021
What I Read
Do you ever re-read books? And for any particular reason? I was having one of those weeks – lots of work meetings, I worked all day on Saturday and had some other things going on as well. All of these things combined called for a re-read that makes me feel all the feels. So, I picked up Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery and loved it just as much as I did as a kid. It was so nice to revisit old book friends and a storyline that I know and love.
I also finally got my hold from the library for a YA book that I have been waiting for. And I finished the whole thing in one sitting on Saturday night. Recommended for You by Laura Silverman was a really cute read (perfect for Hanukkah/Christmas time).
What I’m Planning to Read
Since I completely ignored my reading plan from last week, guess what? It’s the same! This week I have two graphic novels to read for review. The first is Just Pretend by Tori Sharp and the second is Shark Summer by Ira Marcks. I also have a few middle grade novels that I picked up from work last week – Red, White, and Whole by Rajani LaRocca and Soul Lanterns by Shaw Kuzki to read as well!
Join Jen from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing Readers and share all of the reading you have done over the week from picture books to young adult novels. Check out the hashtag #IMWAYR for reading suggestions from readers across the globe.

There are some things I re-read. If one of my favorites is released on audiobook with a new narrator or I haven’t listened to it on audio before I like to do that. I just read The Great Gatsby for probably the 5th or 6th time because they had a new audiobook version with Sean Astin narrating. And Harry Potter is my “comfort” book that I turn to when I need something familiar.
