It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 3/29/2021

What I Read

It was a busy week, even though I took Friday off, I spent most of my free time working on my blog. And getting that pesky housework done. That being said, I read two books and have a third that I was able to start!

The YA book, Somewhere Between Bitter and Sweet by Laekan Zea Kemp was really good! I was excited to read it because of the connection to food, but I found it was about so much more than just food. I’ll be reviewing this one in the coming weeks, so you’ll want to check out!

I also read Unicorn Island by Donna Galanti which was a fun read for kids comfortable with chapter books. It’s a fantasy/mystery/adventure story that I think kids will really enjoy.

What I’m Planning to Read

This week, I’m hoping to finish up Rosie Loves Jack by Mel Darbon, plus also read Indivisible by Daniel Aleman, and Nina Soni, Master of the Garden by Kashmira Sheth, illustrated by Jeff Kocsmiersky. It’s a little bit of everything and I’m excited for what’s coming up!

March is Women’s History Month, so I’m going to do something similar to what I did for Black History Month. This month, though, I’m going to focus on biographies of women. There are so many amazing picture book biographies available, so I’ll be posting a new title every day on my Instagram during the month of March. So, stop by and let me know what you think! There are so many amazing books to share!

What else have you been reading lately?
