Slice of Life Day 25: Perfect Rainy Day
Yesterday was one of those dark and stormy days. A day when the alarm clock went off and I peeked out the window to darkness, clouds, and the potential for rain to start pouring. A day when on and off you could hear how hard the rain came down on the windows. A curl-up and read sort of day. A pajamas and hot cocoa snuggled on the couch kind of day. It was the perfect rainy day.
Instead, I dragged myself out of bed, walked the dog in the misty, foggy morning. And went to work. We had a few seniors swing by in the morning to pick up their holds. By mid-afternoon we had a handful of families stopping in because they were getting a little cabin fever. And our windows were leaking. Again. Let’s just say, it was not the way I wanted to spend the perfect rainy day.
