Slice of Life Day 10: Opposite of Inclement Weather
Winter often brings one or two days off, or at least it used to until everyone realized that a lot of work (and school) can happen at home. The weather would make it difficult to travel and you’d get to have an impromptu day off. Those are fun days. But you know what would be even better? An opposite of inclement weather day!
A day when the weather was just about perfect and everyone was given the day off to actually enjoy it! Yesterday was one of those days. After an extremely snowy February and rainy start to March – the sun was shining and it almost reached 70 degrees in southeastern PA. It was absolutely gorgeous! It made everyone happy – to see the sun, to feel the warm temperature, it was awesome. People coming into the library had shed their winter coats, had their sunglasses on, and were fully embracing the beautifulness that was yesterday.
It doesn’t matter that I had to work almost 12 hours yesterday. I still managed to sneak out for a quick break to take my dog for a walk and enjoy at least a little bit of the beautiful weather! I am definitely ready for the nice weather to get here and stay here!
