Slice of Life 2021
March 1st is tomorrow and that means Slice of Life 2021 is happening! It’s my third year participating in the Slice of Life Challenge. Created by Two Writing Teachers, it encourages bloggers, writers, teachers, and students to notice the little things in everyday life. And then also take a few minutes to explore them in writing.
Over the past couple of years, I have more family and friends remark on these little posts. More so than most of my other stuff. It’s most likely due to the fact that people can connect to the everyday stuff a little easier. If you don’t have kids or work with kids, my blog doesn’t necessarily apply to your life.
Last year was basically the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. It was also the beginning of our quarantine/lockdown which is really interesting to read about now that we’ve been at this for almost a year now.
This year, you’ll probably read a lot about what I’m creating in the kitchen, lots of stories about my crazy dog, Aria, and quite possibly my next home improvements project. What I like most about Slice of Life posts, is that it forces me to focus on individual moments. And honestly, that is an extremely helpful reminder these days. Trying to manage a public library and keep everyone safe has been overwhelming at times. To be reminded to take a deep breath and notice the positives will be really nice! Pop over every day to learn a little bit more about me!

I always look forward to these!

That’s awesome! Because as you know, you throw content out into the wilderness of the Internet and you’re never quite sure what connects with readers!
