Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Made Me LOL
I’m a huge fan of funny picture books! I especially love books that are as entertaining to me as a read aloud as they are to the kids I’m reading to. Not all funny picture books work well reading aloud to a large group, especially those that depend heavily on details in the illustrations. Kids can’t always see small illustrations in a large group and often miss what it is that makes the book funny.
But, reading one-on-one or in a smaller group is perfect. My five-year-old nephew loves funny picture books too! Right now one of his favorites is Princess Versus Dinosaurs written by Linda Bailey and illustrated by Joy Ang. Take a look at the list of amazing books below and be sure to check out the authors’ other works too.
I’ve got another great list of funny picture books from a couple of years ago that you can check out for even more great suggestions.
