Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want to Re-read
With so many books being published, I rarely re-read titles anymore. As a kid, I re-read the books on my shelves over and over again. Now that I have (almost) daily access to new books, I don’t often sit down to re-read.
In fact, I don’t even like to start a series until all the books have been published. I can’t remember details as I wait for the next in the series to come out. And I don’t feel like I have time to re-read when there are so many new books! These are some of my favorites, I’ve read that I would love to sit down and enjoy again.
Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want to Re-read
- Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
- Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo
- The Benefits of Being an Octopus by Ann Braden
- Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
- Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
- The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
- Matilda by Roald Dahl
- The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart
- The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart
- A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd
The Artsy Reader Girl currently hosts Top Ten Tuesday, an original feature created by The Broke and the Bookish.

I loved it as a kid and I’m sure I’d love it as an adult too!

Same. I don’t like to “waste time” re-reading when there are so many new books I want to read. You reminded me that I used to re-read a lot as a kid for the same reason as you – there just weren’t that many books that I had easy access to back in the day. There was no such thing as e-books when I was a kid and I couldn’t get to the library without walking a mile or begging my parents to take me there, so yeah … lots of re-reading the books I had on hand.
Happy TTT!

I have too many books on my TBR to re-read anything right now. Maybe during the holidays, I’ll come back to one of these!

Matilda would be a fun reread. All of these would be.

Inkheart is one of my favorites that I read for the first time earlier this year. Better late than never. 🙂

A very lovely list, I’m thinking rereading Matilda myself thought it’s not on my TTT this week.

I think I may have read “children’s edition” of Heidi when I was little, I should pick up the real thing some time!

I love so many of these—and it’s so nice to see The Benefits of Being an Octopus out in the wild. I adore that book.
