It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 11/2/2020
What I Read
I’m continuing to kick butt on finishing up my TBR pile for 2020! I devoured Camp by L.C. Rosen, an LGBTQ+ summer camp book that was a fun read! I also read Atomic Women: The Untold Stories of the Scientists Who Helped Create the Nuclear Bomb by Roseanne Montillo and learned so much about the Manhattan Project that I wasn’t familiar with. And I’m finishing up Orphan Eleven by Gennifer Choldenko which I am really enjoying. I loved her Al Capone Does My Shirts series and was excited to see a new book published this year! Her attention to historical detail is always spot-on.
What I’m Planning to Read
On deck for this week, I’ve got The Super Miraculous Journey of Freddie Yates by Jenny Pearson, The Truth According to Blue by Eve Yohalem, and What We Found in the Corn Maze and How It Saved a Dragon by Henry Clark. All three are middle grade novels and have been sitting on my shelf forever! And if everything continues to go smoothly, I should be able to finish my “must-reads” by the end of the month. Which leaves December for me to catch up on any favorites or best of 2020 titles that I missed!
