Four on Friday: Public Speaking & Debate

With all eyes in the U.S. on the 2020 presidential election, I felt that I should probably offer up some different titles than the typical “election” books that are available. (Although, I do have a list of those titles too!) Today’s Four on Friday: Public Speaking & Debate focuses more on confidence and respect while sharing and arguing your viewpoint. These forms of communication are valuable. But they often need practice and guidance.

Today society has forgotten how to debate and discuss with respect. Rather than being close-minded and judgmental, it’s valuable to listen and respond. People don’t always have to agree, but it doesn’t have to get so nasty, so quickly. Here are four books at four different reading levels for kids (and adults) to explore!
