Storytime Theme: Fall Leaves
It’s getting to be that time of year when the leaves start turning beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and. Some trees have leaves that are already falling, while others are holding tight to their green leaves as long as possible. We haven’t had a frost yet, so usually once that happens the leaves change even faster. Right now, I’m enjoying my walk to work on bright sunny days as the light filters through these beautiful colors.
Here are a just a few of many picture books about the leaves changing colors. I also included some nonfiction because I love finding small teaching moments in storytime to throw in a few science facts! Plus, kids ask so many questions, it works really well!
