30 Titles All About Colors
I just finished watching the first season of Get Organized with The Home Edit on Netflix. It’s a fun show to watch to get inspired to organize your home, especially since we spend so much time there right now! Their love of organizing things in ROYGBIV is what inspired today’s post – 30 Titles All About Colors.
Now, I’ll be the first to tell you that I will never, ever organize my books by color. That format, although looks nice, wouldn’t work for my space or my brain. My books are organized more by audience or age level and then it different spaces depending on what I’m blogging about, my personal favorites, books that I don’t mind little kids reading when they come over and my partner’s books too. Interfiling picture books and adult fiction makes me a little itchy, for a lack of a better adjective. And yes, as a librarian I actually keep my row of picture books alphabetical by author’s last name. Probably because I don’t have kids who will actually mess it up right now!
Anyway, there are probably hundreds of books about color for kids out there. Check out my 6-week storytime series focused on colors! (You’ll find it in the “Toddler Themes” section). I tried to pull together a list of some fun read alouds that include classics, nonfiction titles, some off-the-wall options, and some diverse books too!
